In this beginner friendly crochet workshop you'll learn how to crochet your own Pride flag, ready to be waved and displayed! Once you've learned how to make one, you'll have the skills to go on and make more. Why not make some as presents and spread Pride Joy with others.
Don't worry if you've never picked up a hook before, this workshop is suitable for beginners as we will be going through the stitches and the pattern together.
All materials and tuition will be provided*, and light refreshments are on us!
This workshop is suitable for those aged 11-100 in the whole rainbow of the LGBTQIA+ community, their friends, family, and allies. This workshop is very much a celebration of Pride, love, and inclusivity.
There will be a selection of colours and shades to choose from, including all of those in the progress pride flag, However if you have a particular flag in mind, feel free to bring additional colours along to make sure you have the right ones!
You will need: DK weight yarn. (This is the stuff that you can find easily and cheaply in lots of colours in places like Hobbycraft)
This workshop takes place at MILK Cafe in Govanhill, and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
See you there,
Leigh
