The programme will include works by De Falla, Strozzi, Delibes, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla, and J. Strauss.

Each grouping within the programme examines the often wildly different approaches adopted by composers to a particular setting evoked by love (or lack thereof) whilst grounding the music in a dancelike manner, ranging from folk music to courtly Baroque dances and the sweeping grandeur of late Romantic ballet.


Refreshments will be served during the interval and after the concert.
