Almost every organisation handles personal data at some point, whether it's employee information, client data, or data accessed while providing services. This comes with various obligations and responsibilities under the UK data protection regime.
Depending on whether your organisation processes personal data as a data controller or a data processor, your requirements and responsibilities may differ. And if you’re acting in multiple roles? That’s when things can get complicated.
In this training session, we will explain the roles of controller, joint controller, processor and sub-processor, as well as break down what you need to do to comply with data protection legislation.
Why attend?
By the end of this session, you will:
- Have a better understanding of the roles of controller, joint controller, processor and sub-processor; and
