The Office for National Statistics (ONS), the Wage and Employment Dynamics project (WED) and Administrative Data Research (ADR) UK will run the inaugural Earnings Symposium in collaboration with ESCoE.

The symposium is dedicated to exploring the latest developments, methodologies, and applications relating to ONS earnings data and earnings statistics.

The symposium will include presentations from the ONS and WED teams, outlining developments with key earnings datasets.

The event will also include a series of invited papers on the following topics

  • New findings or insights using earnings data.
  • Data and methodological advancements.
  • Coherence between earnings data sources.
  • Applications of linked earnings datasets in policymaking.
  • Case studies demonstrating the value of earnings research.
  • Future opportunities and challenges in earnings research and statistics.

This event aims to bring together experts, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share insights, foster collaborations, and discuss the future of labour market statistics and research.
