Welcome to the Eden Wool Gathering!

'Eden Wool Gathering' is a new event in Scotland and will be held for the first time in July 2025 at Whithorn, Dumfries & Galloway. We hope to be one of the top wool festivals in the UK.

In our first year we hope to promote and showcase wool, and wool related crafts. We will be covering the whole process of wool as a product from sheep to finished products. There will be exhibits of hand shearing, skirting and preparation, various types of spinning, weaving, felting and dyeing. Also there will be exhibits of various types of knitting and crochet. There will be plenty to see and do. Children’s activities will also be available throughout the day for a family fun and educational day for all.

In this first year 'Eden Wool Gathering' is a charitable event and all ticket sales are being donated to the local charity 'Stranraer Cancer Drop In Centre' This is local charity which was established in 1999 to help and support cancer patients, their families and those who have been bereaved across the whole of Wigtownshire area.
