We are honored to partner with the Dutch International Primary Schools and be hosted by the International School of The Hague for our 2025 World Conference. The International School of The Hague, originally known as Het Nederlands Lyceum, has a rich history in the city of peace and justice. Growing alongside the city’s diverse community, it is an ideal location for our conference themed "Educating for peace and social justice: the role of international education."
The conference will open at 17:00 on Thursday, September 25, 2025, with a welcome reception featuring an introductory presentation. The main programme begins at 09:00 on Friday, September 26, and will conclude at 16:30 on Saturday, September 27.
As with previous events, the conference's highlight will be the "strand groups," where participants can present on themes related to the conference and engage in immediate discussions and debates. This feature has been highly praised in AIE conferences over the past 20 years and will be the cornerstone of our time together in The Hague.
Proposal submission details can be found on the conference registration page, welcoming all submissions for consideration in the strand programme.
The programme will also feature keynote addresses by Dr. Elke Van dermijnsbrugge from NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, who will challenge us to think creatively about the role of international schools in promoting peace and social justice.
There will be many opportunities to network, share ideas and experiences, learn more about the AIE, and participate in social events. A full schedule, including accommodation suggestions in The Hague, will be posted soon; attendees are responsible for their own arrangements.
Registration is now open, so please take advantage of the "Early Bird" discount!
