What is it?
We are very excited to be working once more with the fabulous Glasgow Jewellers 'Vanilla Ink' to bring you a new workshop for 2025 making something beautiful to cherish.
This is a taster experience for learning the magic of enamelling! This exciting class offers the opportunity to experience the exciting and versatile medium of enamel through introductory techniques. Learn how to add colour and pattern to metal, opening up loads of opportunities for detail. You will leave with new skills and a fabulous unique set of jewellery of your own creation.
Can I do this class?
Of course you can! This is for complete beginners and those with some experience alike.
What happens?
Our tutors will take you through some of the basic techniques used within enamelling to help you produce a beautiful pair of earrings and a pendant (or tag) to take home with you. Copper templates will be provided and you will be shown how to add colour and patterns to your pieces, finishing them off for wear at home. Each student will get to make one pendant or tag and one set of earrings.
Do I need to bring anything?
Everyone will have their own space with access to all the tools and materials required to make the decorations.
Please wear long hair tied up [or bring something to do so], don’t wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.
If you need glasses to see things close up, please bring them with you. Making jewellery is fiddly!
Students must be 16 and over.
Refunds with more than a week's notice will be considered but we cannot refund the Eventbrite fees. No refunds for last minute cancellations or no shows.
