This Everybody Can Dance workshop is for every body, regardless of age, size and shape, and physical abilities!! Already dancing? Try something new and have a good time at it!

Led by choreographer, performer and dance educator, Lucia August, join a safer queer space to access your inner power and strength and to build resilience together as a community.

About Lucia in her own words

"My life has been about challenging the status quo. From coming out of the closet in 1974 as a Lesbian at a time when it was still extremely unpopular to do so, to restarting my dance career at 50-years-old while inhabiting a non-traditional dancer's body. Because of my struggles and subsequent success, I hope to inspire others to break free from their limitations and to live their dreams, as I am doing."

Experience the joy of dance with a Queer Elder in a safe, supportive and creative environment where you can be and explore who you are. No experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go!

When you arrive

Our Events Team will be there to provide a friendly welcome when you arrive at the main reception and we will lead you to Studio 3 where the workshop is happening. If you arrive late, please make your way to Studio 3.
