About this event

  • Event lasts 85 days 22 hours

We are delighted to invite you all to our SPRING Exhibition, 'EXPOSED'.

Free tickets are only required for our opening night on March 13th. Otherwise our opening hours are: Tue, Wed 10am-5pm, Thu 12-7pm, Fri 10am-5pm and Sat 11-5pm. If you'd like to visit outside these hours, please get in touch. info@firepit.art

EXPOSED runs alongside BUSTOUT100, A Powerful Photographic Tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness. 100 striking photographs. A project by Piluca and Anne-Marie Bickerton. BUSTOUT100 is setup in the red firepit room, and will be open for viewing on the Exposed opening night and in normal hours until April 5th, we have set pretty strong intentions to make Exposed a tribute to the powerful exhibition that is BUSTOUT100 and hope very visitor explores the connections between the two.

CHARITY PARTNER

Pink Ribbon Foundation. 'BUSTOUT100'

Exposed is going to be a little different from our norm. Here are some facts for you. Every Artist taking part has offered to donate 10% of their sales towards Pink Ribbon Foundation. Seven of the artists are also participants in BUSTOUT100. Firepit artists will be sharing a space together, rather than their normal wall each. Renowned artist Deborah Azzopardi has generously donated two signed prints, these will be on display in the exhibition, they will be auctioned, with 100% of proceeds going to Pink Ribbon Foundation. Exposed has been designed to run alongside and be connected to BUSTOUT100. We will also have a raffle on the opening night, this will include donated artworks, Deborah Azzopardi has let us have some misprints, which I actually think are super cool, there is a tiny pink dot on them, which shouldn’t be there, anyone that knows me (Marcus) knows that I deliberately do this in most of my work! As well as some smaller items and other artworks. 100% of proceeds go to Pink Ribbon Foundation. Are you seeing the theme ;) Gift shop is being re-curated and made into a much more gallery type of gift shop, with 10% of sales going to Pink Ribbon. Sold Out Publishing are bringing a book shop to Firepit! 10% of sales are going to..…go on guess! Books that spark, burn, and refuse to behave. We stock the wild, bold and the underrepresented. No boring stuff—just spicy reads and rebellious ideas. Come get your hands on something that shines in the dark. 🔥📖

And you are understandably likely to be impatient to make a donation to Pink Ribbon, fear not, follow this link :)

Opening Night Party

Please reserve your tickets for this. Thursday March 13th 5-9pm, we are expecting it to be particularly busy.

Opening nights are kind of unmissable events, the artists are present, they are vibrant, fun, memorable, soul refilling, connecting, inspirational and super important for supporting working artists.

EVENT DETAILS

Exposed explores and challenges the invisible parts of us, secrets, and untold stories that we carry with us every day, while celebrating the courage it takes to share these deeply personal truths. In this collection of works, artists from diverse backgrounds explore the nuanced layers of personal and societal experiences that often remain concealed from the public eye. Whether they are silent struggles, hidden identities, or the weight of unspoken histories, these pieces illuminate the complexities of what we hide beneath the surface.

In this exhibition, the act of exposure becomes a form of liberation—a declaration that the things we carry in silence do not define us, but that by sharing them, we can transform our pain into connection, our isolation into community. Exposed asks us to consider: What is it to be truly seen? And in what ways can the act of exposure heal, empower, and bring us closer to one another?

Photography and Filming take place during events, workshops and gallery opening times. Please let us know if you do not want to be on film. All material captured is used for either our social media or future promotion.
