Question 1

When will the site open and close for the event

Accepted Answer

Gates open at the ground for those wanting to get into the spirit early from Midday on Thursday 13th June. We  will be brining the curtain down at 12.00 on Tuesday 18th June. So that's a maximum of  5 nights. P.S. We would appreciate arrivals  being with us between 12.00 and18.00 on day of arrival.

Question 2

We notice that you have increased your prices for 2024. Was this necessary?

Accepted Answer

Last year we offered a more than competitive price which needed review. On reflection as the closest camping to the events in town plus being a music venue ourselves and  investing in improving the facilities we offer we felt that we should therefore increase our prices.

Question 3

Is there a minimum booking ?

Accepted Answer

In response to demand we have introduced a three night minimum (to include Friday & Saturday) with flexibility on the 3rd night being Thursday or Sunday. Additional nights can be purchased if you wish to increase your stay.  No refunds will be provided to early leavers or late arrivals.

Question 4

Is there a booking fee included in your prices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are a volunteer club & managing such an event can be resource heavy. By partnering with Eventbrite we can to manage the bookings more professionally and gain valuable information and data we would struggle to collect. Unfortunately we just don't have the man power to do everything ourselves.

Question 5

Is VAT applicable to the Ticket price?

Accepted Answer

Yes the standard rate of VAT will be applicable when completing the payment process and will be added to your booking fee.

Question 6

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

If you  cancel more than 30 days before the booked date & paid in full, a  refund will be given (minus any booking or fees). 
If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the first day of the Booking & you have paid in full there will be no refund provided. Any exception is at the discretion of  FRFC

Question 7

I can not see any prices for caravans this year.

Accepted Answer

We are not accepting any paid caravan bookings for the event.

Question 8

What provision for the disposal of Grey & Black Waste will there be at the event

Accepted Answer

We are able to assist in the disposal of grey waste but as in previous years, there is NO provision for the disposal of Black waste on-site. We have reviewed this & looked for alternatives but we are unable to support black waste (including emptying into club toilets which is PROHIBITED)

Question 9

We notice that the ground is now a pay car park. Will that be in operation during the Sea Shanty?

Accepted Answer

No, we will be turning the payment system off during the period we are are accepting guests for the core period ( Friday to Sunday inclusive). We may well allow members or paying customers access to a specific parking area within the ground outside of these dedicated periods.

Question 10

Are dogs allowed on site?

Accepted Answer

Two 2 pets (dogs) are allowed per MOTORHOME (non-grass)pitches however there are some specific rules regarding control, access, waste etc. The club also reserves the right should a guests pet  cause a nuisance for any reason, that the guest would be asked to either remove the pet from site.

How do we make contact for queries or questions  from the rugby club around the event?

Accepted Answer

Please feel free to contact shantyfestival@falmouthrugbyclub.co.uk and we will endeavour to answer any questions as quickly as we can. Please note we will also be sending out additional correspondence and information running up to the event along with a mobile you can contact.

Can We get a copy of the Clubs Terms and Conditions

Accepted Answer
