Advocate Arms Hotel
2 Queen Street Market Rasen LN8 3EH United KingdomAs part of the West Lindsey Wolds WordFest we are delighted to welcome Rosanna McGlone to talk about her research into women from the Medieval Ages. Here's a bit more information about the event.
Historical fiction is the hybrid child of two warring parents: fact and fiction. Hear how writer and journalist, Rosanna McGlone, threads historical fact into exciting narratives. How did she begin her research for Feisty Females which is based on a medieval book second only to the Domesday Book? What are the challenges of writing historical fiction? And is it ever acceptable to tweak the truth? Women featured in the book include Nicholaa de la Haye, Alice de Lacy and Hawise de Quincy.
This talk will be of interest to anyone who is interested in reading historical fiction and anyone who is setting out on their own writing journey. Rosanna will also be reading a story from Feisty Females, answering questions from budding authors and signing copies of her new book.
