Is Festival of the Sea FREE to attend?

Accepted Answer

It is! There will be no charge to enter the festival on Saturday or Sunday. All activities, workshops and stalls are free to attend. This is thanks to funding from the Coastal Capacity Fund through Welsh Government.

Do I need to book onto the festival?

Accepted Answer

No booking is required, simply turn up on the day! Some activities and workshops will be limited to a certain number so make sure you sign up to any specific events on the day itself!

Question 3

Will the event still go ahead if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We have indoor venues and plenty of fun indoor activities to get involved with across the weekend if the weather doesn't play ball. There will still be something for everyone so don't let the weather put you off!

Question 4

Where are the nearest toilets?

Accepted Answer

On Saturday 8th, all attendees will have access to free public toilet facilities on the Milford Waterfront which will be open for the duration of the festival. On Sunday 9th, all attendees will have access to free toilet facilities at the Torch Theatre.

Is Festival of the Sea suitable for wheelchair users?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Our aim was to make the festival as accessible as possible, so all stalls and most activities will be available to everyone. We'll even have beach wheelchairs available to try! There is also an accessible lift at the Torch Theatre so wheelchair users can access all events.

Is there parking for the festival?

Accepted Answer

The free car parking along Milford Waterfront will be open as usual and is right next to the festival on the Saturday. Paid parking is available around the Torch Theatre for the Sunday.

It goes without saying that Milford Haven is deeply connected to the sea. From its fishing industry to future renewable energies, Milford has it all! Festival of the Sea is offering partners, organisations and communities to come together to celebrate the amazing relationship we have with our sea!

Who is Festival of the Sea aimed for?

In short, everyone! We have family-friendly activities, workshops and stalls for people of all ages and abilities. A couple of art workshops are best suited for ages 14+.

Am I able to dip in and out of the festival throughout the weekend?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Attend the whole weekend, or simply come to a workshop or two - it's your choice!
