Course Purpose
Description - Overview of Level 2 First Aid Basic Life Support and AED
This training course is delivered by Registered Trainers with many years of on-the-job experience and who can guide you through the theoretical and practical elements of this essential healthcare training course, and answer any questions that may arise during your training.
We deliver this course at our training academy in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham we only allow a maximum of 6 learners at any time. We feel proud to be able to deliver training to smaller groups as we want to ensure learners experience a personalised and supportive training session allowing the Trainer to provide quality time and individual support.
On completing this course learners will have the knowledge, understanding and skills required to be able to administer Basic Life Support and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator.
Accreditation
This Level 2 First Aid Basic Life Support & Automated External Defibrillator Training has been accredited by the CPD Accreditation Group.
Assessment Methods
Level 2 First Aid Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator is internally assessed. Each learner is required to participate and demonstrate practical activities throughout the course.
Progression Routes
Learners wishing to progress from this course can undertake the following qualifications:
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)
Learning Outcomes:
1 Be able to understand your role and responsibility when responding to emergency situations that may occur in the workplace.
2 Be able to assess the scene of an incident.
3 Be able to provide first aid to an unconscious casualty that Is breathing.
4 Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is not breathing – and commence Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to an Adult, Child and Infant.
5 Be able to understand the safe use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
6 Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is choking.
Where the training happens - We deliver this training course at our training room in Birmingham.
Course Duration - Normally 1/2 day.
Certification - On successful completion of the course, attendees will be issued with an accredited certificate.

Our training premises are located by the Jewellery Quarter Train Station which is a 5-minute walk to Hylton Street.
There are various car parks available in the Jewellery Quarter and you can download the apps Ring Go or Parkopedia which will show you available car parking and cost in the area. (Average Parking Cost is £5.50 per day)
