Mark Pugh
Mark Pugh is the General Superintendent of the Elim Pentecostal Church, a growing Movement of Christian congregations in the UK and Ireland.
Mark hails from Porth, South Wales. He was already on the ministry team in Derby when he entered the Elim ministry in 1998, continuing to serve there until 2001 when he was stationed to Birmingham City Church.
In 2002 Mark was appointed to the National Youth Team and in 2004, having pioneered Serious4God, Elim’s National Youth Ministry, he was appointed Director of Serious4God. A number of national youth events such as The Gathering were birthed under Mark’s tenure in the role.
In 2013, having accepted the call of God back into local church ministry, Mark relinquished the role of Director of Serious4God and was appointed as lead pastor in Rediscover Church Exeter. Under Mark’s leadership the church has seen significant growth, and he has pioneered a number of initiatives such as South West Awake, a prayer event that gathers thousands of people, and the Church Planting Academy which equips and releases people to plant churches.
Having been appointed to the National Leadership Team in 2010 Mark served two terms until 2018 when he made the decision to withdraw from the Team in order to concentrate on his local church ministry. He has connections across the wider Church and regularly speaks into other streams and has served on the Board of a number of other Charities.
Mark is married to Nita and they have three grown up children and one grandchild.
What is Foundation?
Leadership can be incredibly rewarding, but as most leaders know, it can also come with many challenges. If you're a leader in business, church, or your local community, UCB’s Foundation events are for you. They're designed to be a ‘spiritual oasis’, a time spent in the presence of God away from the busyness.
In the book of Nehemiah (the cupbearer to the king). Nehemiah was moved by the devastation of Jerusalem's ruined walls, and he felt called to rebuild them. Only with God's help was he able to devise a strategy that eventually saw the Lord's glory restored to this ancient city.
As leaders, we will all experience times when our walls feel broken or crumbling, and we need God to bring fresh revelation and rest to our spirits. Come and join us for prophetic worship, inspirational teaching, prayer, and networking - a place where you can rebuild, renew, and restore.
Foundation events are held in-person at UCB’s Operations Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, with a morning and afternoon session (with lunch in-between) and an opportunity to network with other leaders.
