Introduction
The Cancer Studies Research Group based at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, play a major role in allow Registrars in Clinical & Medical Oncology to fulfil the academic side of their training.
In light of the RCR FRCR 1 examination dates being held earlier (w/c 10 February 2025), and a week after the Christie scheduled live radiobiology/stats teaching, we have made the decision to release the February 2024 Medical Statistics Revision Workshop live virtual recording to facilitate the teaching in 2025. The recording will include all lectures, and link to exam practice sessions
The medical statistics workshop is intended as a revision back up following on from the FRCR 1 teaching week 5-9 February 2024 - further details of which can be here.
However, if you have attended statistics teaching in your own hospital and require a revision session before the FRCR 1 RCR examinations, you can register via Eventbrite to attend the Revision Workshop as a standalone event.
The workshop recording and link to MCQs will be available and accessible via SharePoint to all registered candidates for revision purposes until end September 2025 in line with the Spring and Autumn 2025 RCR FRCR 1 examinations".

Syllabus
The course covers FRCR part 1 examinations as part of the RCR syllabus
Teaching method
Live virtual Zoom recording. Lectures and MCQs with links to blank quiz questions to aid FRCR part 1 revision. The revision workshop recording is facilitated by the University of Manchester's Biostatistician lecturer, Matthew Parkes. The SharePoint link will be emailed to candidates upon Eventbrite registration.
