About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

How does a modern, heart-based meditation practice relate to centuries-old poems? Can short verses, with humour and longing, illuminate critical aspects of meditation, and help refine one's approach? Love burns bright in this short poetic selection, and you are welcome to enjoy its wit and depth.

This session will include a short presentation, relaxation, and meditation … there will also be time to connect and chat around a warm drink.

Heartfulness is a set of meditation practices derived from Raja Yoga, adapting ancient techniques to modern ways of life. It is a gentle, self-moderating system that aims to balance the mind and foster simplicity and clarity. Over time we develop empathy and compassion, greater self-awareness and happiness.

Donations welcome. Open to all above 18 years old.
