No :) We welcome all young people at all levels of experience.

Yes, our workshops are free for local young people.

Absolutely! You and your friends are very welcome.

Can you tell me more about Second Wave?

Second Wave was established in 1982 by a group of local young women. Led by the youth, our programmes reflect issues that are of interest and relevance to young people. We provide opportunities for young people to explore a range of creative arts, work experience, volunteering, traineeships and more

What times are you open?

We run regular workshops on Saturdays and evenings. Call us to find out more.

Is there parking?

On weekends, you can park for free in nearby Watergate Street. It can be busy though. We recommend taking public transport - Deptford station is 5 mins away and there are plenty of local buses.

Organised by

Second Wave runs regular workshops during term-time and holidays. Experienced tutors and peer mentors lead workshops on drama, dance, lyrics, spoken word, filmmaking and vocals. We also run debate and critical thinking discussion groups for young people who want to engage in their community. Our work frequently brings together many members of the community with young people leading the agenda.
