About this event

Join our free saturday, queer run club - gayns roadrunner. Whether you're a seasoned runner or you're just starting out - we've got you, boo. Our run club is inclusive and open to all levels.

We meet every Saturday at More London Place, (London Bridge Station overlooking Tower Bridge) from 9:30 am. We kick off the run at 10am and arrive at The Ministry in Elephant & Castle around 45 minutes later where we have a social.

We meet on this patch of grass on the map HERE

The 7k route: we head across Tower Bridge to start, run along the Thames to Waterloo Bridge, cross the bridge, head toward Blackfriars Bridge and then take a right towards E&C. You can find the route here on Strava.

We have 3 pace groups, 4:30, 5:30 & 6:30 minutes per km, plus a back sweep who makes sure they are always the last person in the pack.

There is no bag drop so please travel light.

You MUST purchase a roadrunner ticket in order to be able to gain entry to the social at The Ministry which is a private members club.

Frequently asked questions

What is gayns?

gayns is a facilitator for gay and queer people to improve their health, fitness and connection to the community. The weekly roadrunner run club is the first of many ways we will help connect the community and elevate your lifestyle.

Do I need to be LGBTQ+ to join?

No. gayns is an inclusive space. All allies, sexualities and gender expressions are welcome. It is, however, designed to provide an inclusive and safe space for LGBTQIA+ runners. If you respect this and are an ally, you're more than welcome to join.

Are beginners welcome?

Absolutely. The weekly run is a 7K scenic route, and we fun social paces. It's up to you whether you want to push yourself at the front of the group, or take it a bit slower. We won't leave anyone behind.

What happens after?

Most of us grab a coffee on the way and start mingling from 9:30am, so arrive early to meet everyone and chat, then afterwards we have a social at The Ministry for an hour or more.

Is there a bag drop?

Sadly not, so travel light and make sure you're hydrated!
