The Get Trading Programme helps South Tyneside residents to progress their business ideas to the point of actually starting to trade. Exciting times, if not a little daunting? Book your place to be part of the May Get Trading Programme.


You'll get support from Business Advisors who've been round the track a few times, and have answered every conceivable question on starting a business. Add to that a team of new peers and this fully-funded programme is ready to help you firm up your idea and get going.

You'll find the sessions informal and chatty and very enjoyable!

8th May in person at One Trinity Green, South Shields

15th May in person at One Trinity Green, South Shields

10am-2pm - SESSION 2

  1. Business Planning essentials – detail your business idea
  2. Work out cost/pricing, sales forecast, cashflow.
  3. Draft a template that’s fit for purpose for your business idea


22nd May in person at One Trinity Green, South Shields

10am-2pm - SESSION 3

  1. How to make the transition to trading
  2. How to register you/your business as trading
  3. Get Trading essentials recap
  4. Moving forward!

Businesses accessing this support will be asked to take part in a brief phone-based diagnostic to ensure as much as possible is gleaned from the programme.


This is a business start up programme delivered by TEDCO Business Support Ltd on behalf of South Tyneside Council which aims to support local residents with their aspirations to start up a business.

This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
