Glass Fusing - Short Course

Course Overview

This glass-fusing short course is perfect for beginners eager to explore a dynamic art form. Participants will learn fundamental techniques, including glass cutting, layering, and kiln-firing, to create unique and colourful glass pieces.

The course emphasizes hands-on practice and creative experimentation, offering guidance on combining textures, colours, and shapes to produce beautiful glass art. Each student will complete several projects, gaining confidence and skill in glasswork by the end of the course.

This immersive, friendly environment allows for plenty of exploration, making it ideal for anyone looking to try something new and creative.

Venue, Dates, Times

Term starts on 4th June. There will be 4 sessions. The last session will be 25th June.

All sessions will be held in the 3D workshop at our Folly Lane Campus. Sessions will start at 6.30pm and will finish at approximately 9pm.

About the Tutor

Bryony Burn is a Ceramics and Glass Technical Demonstrator who divides her time between creating her own work, designing for production, and leading classes and workshops. Her creations, inspired by natural patterns and 1950s textiles and wallpapers, are showcased in leading British galleries.
