Our Grow Your Own series is designed to give you hands-on experience and expert guidance in organic, no-dig vegetable growing. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, these workshops will provide practical techniques and tailored advice to help you grow successfully at home.
Led by Amelia Lake, Head Grower at Real Food Garden, each session takes place in a working market garden and includes a tour, practical demonstrations, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Grow Your Own – Spring
Sunday 27th April
This workshop is designed for those looking to start or improve their veg growing. We will focus on setting up a productive garden, understanding your soil, and planning a successful growing season.

No-Dig Growing: How to grow vegetables without disturbing the soil, improving fertility and reducing weeds.
Organic Growing Principles: How to grow healthy food without synthetic chemicals.
Understanding Your Soil: Learn how soil works, what your plants need, and how to improve soil health. Bring a sample from your garden for analysis.
Crop Planning & Rotation: How to plan a productive space to maximise harvests and maintain soil health.
Vegetable Families: Understanding plant groups and their specific growing needs.
