About this event

Join us for a fun filled day on Saturday 17th May to walk, jog or run the 5k or 10k route around Hampstead Heath.

In addition to the walk, we will be having family friendly activities like face painting, crafts and delicious food and drink at Maggie’s Royal Free. Tickets to join us at the centre will be free and we just ask for a small contribution on the day for food, drink and some of the crafts.

If one of your family is doing the walk, why not wait for them at our centre and enjoy the activities we will have on? Or if you haven’t had a chance to see our new centre during the week when we are open, why not come join us on a Saturday?

Tickets:

£15 for the walk, children (under 18’s) go free and each ticket includes a wristband or T-Shirt! Tickets to join us at the centre are free. Maximum two children per adult ticket.

We kindly ask that adults taking part in the walk aim to fundraise £50 each to support Maggie’s London.

Location:

Start and end at Maggie’s Royal Free, Rowland Hill Street, Royal Free Hospital, NW3 2PF.

Timings:

The walk will start at 9.30am, please arrive by 9.15am to register. Activities will start at the centre at 9.30am, and we will be open until 2pm.

All funds raised will help Maggie’s continue to support people with cancer and their loved ones in London.

* Please bear in mind this walk is on Hampstead Heath and therefore may not be wheelchair accessible.

Organized by

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.

Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.

Our centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

The first Maggie’s opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie’s has continued to grow, with 26 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad.
