During this hand embroidered sampler workshop you will create your own unique sampler using your choice of fabric and variety of threads. It's a perfect introduction to hand embroidery or excellent to extend your skills and knowledge further.

We'll explore a range of embroidery stitches, including line stitches, knot stitches and filling stitches, learning how to work each stitch as well as possible uses for the stitch.

By the end of the workshop you will have learnt

- a range of hand embroidery stitches

- how to use different threads

- how to combine stitches and threads to gain different effects

- how to create a sampler in your own style

This workshop is for beginners or those with some hand embroidery experience; all materials are included.

Each workshop participant will receive a beautifully curated gift box so that the creativity can continue after the workshop finishes.

The workshop is held at The Thrive Hive, Seaton Carew from 2 - 5 pm

I am a textile artist, tutor and community artist.  I hold qualifications in both textile arts and education.  I love teaching, passing on skills and knowledge in a supportive and creative environment.  In my workshops students are encouraged to create artwork that is unique to them, rather than a replica of my work.  I always have sample works available to inspire and to learn from.
