About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Beat the mid-week slump with our chilled, hang out space in The Beeston Social.

Here at The Wolfpack Project, we love providing space for 16-35 year olds to meet others. When you come to the Beeston Social, look to the right as we have our usual space in the far booths under the big neon sign. Someone from the team will always be around, but may not be able to greet at the door.

During the afternoon, people will join when they can, so there will be lots of introductions and getting to know people. The Social sells food and drinks, so we will cover a soft drink, but others may buy themselves more. If you want a go on any of the games, like Air Hockey or Dance Revolution, tokens can be bought on card.

The aim is that people are able to have a conversation with a new person and have time to unwind. If you get chatting, you can stay beyond 7pm with live music on, but the team will head out at that point.

This session is for you if you feel able to come on your own and get chatting with those in the space. We have some regular faces from the area and new people each time, so you never know what connection you might make!

If you aren't sure that this if for you, you can contact the team via hello@thewolfpackproject.org.uk
We also try and call everyone at the beginning of the week to see if you can still make it and give space for you to ask any questions.

In order to keep our groups free, we need to know that everyone coming is within our age range and lives in Nottinghamshire. If you haven't already done so, please make sure that you've signed up on our website at Join The Wolfpack

We're really looking forward to having you.

Frequently asked questions

Is the building accessible?

Yes, Beeston Social is step free and flat throughout. It can be a little tight around the tables, but the team can support if anything is blocking access. There is also a downstairs toilet designed for more accessibility needs.

How do I find you?

The Beeston Social is part of the Arc Cinema complex next to the main Beeston interchange. Trams and buses stop here regularly and parking is available at Tesco. Inside, we are always near the far wall to the right.

What if I can no longer make it?

You should be able to cancel your ticket through Eventbrite, or via the reminder emails it gives you. You can also contact us via Whatsapp on 07376 570457

What support is on hand during a session?

Every session is supported by someone from The Wolfpack Project. As a team, we have experience of loneliness and training in Mental Health First Aid. We try and have an awareness of different support needs, especially if you share anything when you sign up. You can bring support with you as needed.

Organized by

We are Nottingham’s only youth organisation dedicated to reducing loneliness and promoting positive mental health among people aged 16-35.

Our groups include a range of socials, life skills and wellbeing groups, either run by the team or in partnership with another organisation. For each group, we aim to create support networks and build communities between isolated young people.

Run by Nottingham locals who have had personal experience with loneliness and isolation in their lives, we are passionate about providing safe and welcoming spaces to all young people, regardless of background or circumstance.
