We know how challenging the exams are.

Everyone is happy to help but when it comes down to it, your bosses often have limited time. They may not be up to date with the latest exam format and it all leads to anxiety.

Practice with us and get tailored feedback specifically to you.

Maximum 5 participants being VIVA’d so a more focussed session.

Observer candidates to help identify weaker areas and areas for feedback to hone in things before the exam.

The aim is that the order of the session will be as follows (subject to change)

Introduction and expectations 30m

An approach to the academic VIVA

Candidate 1 - general 10 mins and feedback 10 mins

Candidate 2 - general 10 mins and feedback 10 mins

Candidate 3 - general 10 mins and feedback 10 mins

Candidate 4 - general 10 mins and feedback 10 mins

Candidate 5 - general 10 mins and feedback 10 mins

Each candidate is viva’d in general, sub-speciality and academic totalling 60 minutes of dedicated VIVA practice with feedback.

There is 240 minutes of active participation and observation of the other candidates, allowing pick up of good practice and avoidance of anything that might not help you pass.

Mr Siddiqui is currently a post-CCT fellow in General and Colorectal Surgery and has recently been appointed as a consultant colorectal surgeon. 

He has completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education and is keen to teach and train students and doctors at any level.

There is a lack of guidance and support for people who want to take the first part of the general surgery exam and this course will help fill that gap and support you on your way to success.

He has a PhD and over 50 peer reviewed publications along with over 100 international presentations. He has presented in 5 different continents and won prizes for the content and presentation of his work.

He has helped 20 students to get online publications from their existing work and coached 3 medical students to full peer reviewed PubMed articles in a range of subjects from ophthalmology, radiology and endoscopy helping them improve their CV

Mr Siddiqui has coached a range of doctors from F1 to Consultant on how to get published and assisted every level of doctor both training and non-training to attain peer reviewed publications.

Through his work he has developed a good rapport with everyone he meets and is approachable with a clear sense of direction to meet your needs and requirements.
