About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Do you want to bring TikTok or Instagram videos to your school but don’t know where to start? Are you looking to try something new with Instagram Reels? Or are you a video novice looking to learn more about short form video?

A video on TikTok or Instagram can be one of the best ways to reach pre-teens, teenagers and parents from Generation Z. In this training event for schools, nurseries and colleges you'll find out how to get started.

The best short-form videos are normally less than a minute long - but they can run up to 3 minutes. The most popular videos are bite-sized, include funny or entertaining content and are usually viewed on mobile phones.

Short-form videos have rapidly become the most popular type of social media content. They provide new opportunities for schools to communicate with young people and their parents.

This informative session is for schools, colleges and nurseries who would like to begin creating short-form video content. It will also help novices and beginners to improve their skills, knowledge and confidence.

We'll examine the basics of how to get started, introduce you to practical tools that will help those on a limited budget and feature lots of best practice from the education sector.

The workshop will be delivered via MS Teams. You will receive a course booklet to print off prior to the course and a set of PowerPoint slides after the event.

If you want to find out how other UK schools use TikTok and Instagram confidently and effectively this is the event for you.
