With a background in Computer Science teaching as well as educational technology training, Jamie is well placed to lead organisational change in schools through staff engagement and evidence informed CPD.
He is excited to be able to bring all that he knows into the establishment of the first Hybrid@ model for Dukes Education.
Ambreen Baig - Director of Hybrid, Dukes Education
Ambreen has been a Teacher of English for 20 years. After 13 years of teaching in a girls’ grammar school in North London, and consistently achieving outstanding results, she moved to the independent sector and gained experience dealing with students in a mixed-ability setting. She worked as an AQA Examiner for English and delivered the borough of Barnet’s GCSE English revision course for all schools for a decade.
She moved to Portland Place as Head of Year 12 and was one of the founders of the award-winning Portland Place Hybrid School, becoming the Head of Hybrid School - in charge of the day-to-day running and supporting the students, families and staff with an impeccable, high-quality service.

Frequently asked questions
Hybrid means a mix of on-line and physical in-school teaching.
The in-school element is what sets our Hybrid offer apart from what an On-Line school offers. Lessons are live, so students get to interact with each other in person every day building a community and friendships that are consolidated by meeting in person at school once a week.
Yes and no. Yes in that it involves being able to learn from home and work with a teacher, but no, in that you are being taught in real-time and interacting with your fellow students and teacher - it's not pre-recorded or worksheets.
Plenty! In our experience, Hybrid@ enables students who - for whatever reason - are unable to be in school full-time, to get a full-time education with a social community of their own. We have seen some remarkable results not only academically but socially too. Ask us more!
Fees cover tuition and the use of in-school facilities. Please see our Admissions page on our website for the latest information about fees.
Yes. Students are expected to wear the appropriate LPS Mayfair/Hybrid uniform like any other student.
The day in school is centred around practical experiences - including PE and sport. Students are welcome to attend after school clubs too.
Yes - our Sixth form, LPS Sixth is at 79 Eccleston Square, SW1V 1PP, a short walk from Victoria station. Whilst we don't offer a bespoke Hybrid Sixth, we do have a 'Flexi-Model' and the same personal approach. Talk to Director of Sixth form, Mr Nathan Mountford to find out more.
There may be additional charges for some trips - but these are all optional.
