Who is this workshop for? : Beginner Workshops are workshops open to anyone interested in developing their performance skills. There is no experience necessary and as such are open to anyone seriously wishing to improve or develop their craft. Beginner workshops are for participants aged 18 or over.

6 WEEK IMPROVISATION FOR BEGGINERS COURSE | 1 SESSION PER WEEK (3 hours)

Discover your inner Mischief Maker and explore the joy of improvisation with Mischief’s 6-week 'Improvisation for Beginners' course.

Designed for those new to the art of making it up as you go along, this fun and friendly 6-week course will teach you the basics of thinking on your feet, building confidence, and working as a team to create wonderful scenes and stories.

Each week members of the course will explore the basic Pillars of improvisation learning and developing new skills in a supportive space designed to explore your imagination, make mistakes, and laugh out loud.


Is this course for you?


This course is for amateur acting enthusiasts interested in learning the basics of improvisation

If you’re a professional actor and are interested in joining one of our courses, keep your eyes peeled for some very exciting up and coming announcements.

All participants must be aged 18 or over at the time of the first session.

About the Instructor

Harry is a founding member of Mischief Theatre and co-creator and regular performer in Olivier nominated ‘Mischief Movie Night’ with over a decade’s experience teaching at some of the UK’s leading drama schools, for schools and youth theatres and leading corporate workshops as well as leading Mischief’s improvisation workshops. Harry specialises in teaching improvisation and storytelling as well as clown.

Harry taught improvisation at LADMA between 2019-2023 and also teaches improvisation at Arts Ed and Associated Studios as well as the Cambridge Acting Academy. Harry has taught at Drama Studio London and for flair box and Scoot Theatre, west end stage tours and Just add milk. Harry also teaches corporate workshops in improvisation and creativity including recently for Boots.

Harry is a graduate of the RADA BA in acting and the LAMDA foundation course and has performed on the West End and Broadway and for NT live as well as having film and tv credits which include Wallander, Endeavour, Cuckoo and Skyfall.

How Long is the course?

A 6 week course made up of 6 sessions (1 session per week, 3hr per session).

Who can participate in this workshop?

To qualify for one of these workshops participants must be aged 18 or over. This course is for amateur acting enthusiasts interested in learning the basics of improvisation

Can I join a beginner workshop?

Beginner Workshops are workshops open to anyone interested in developing their performance skills. There is no experience necessary and as such are open to anyone seriously wishing to improve or develop their craft. Beginner workshops are for participants aged 18 or over.

Do I need to bring anything?

We would advise all of the participants to bring a bottle of water with them to the workshops. Any workshop specific resources will be provided by the workshop leader.

What should I wear?

Clothes that your are happy and comfortable doing physical movement in.

Where do the sessions take place.

This workshop will be taking place at the wonderful Dance Attic in London. 368 North End Rd, London SW6 1LY

How much does it cost.

The cost of this course is £290.00 (including Eventbrite fees.)

I can’t attend the full course can I attend some of the classes?

We are unable to offer pay as you go sessions, the course is run across a 6 week period and as such attendees should be prepared to commit to the full course before purchasing.

Can I pay in instalments?

No - All payments must be paid in full. However we will explore options for instalment payments in future

Can I pay for single sessions as opposed to the full course?

Not currently, for the time being all payments must be paid in full. However we're working on this for future courses.

Can I get a refund

We are able to offer full refunds (minus Eventbrite fee £17.45) on courses up until 30 days before the course start date. However after 30 days we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds.

I am no longer able to attend a prepaid course am I able to use this on a later course?

Course credits are non transferrable. If you have cancelled your course 30 days prior to the start of the course then you can request a refund and reallocate those funds to a future course booking.
