We are delighted to announce the much-awaited return of the Khushwant Singh Literary Festival (KSLF) to London for its 7th edition. And to Oxford for the first time.
The festival is absolutely free and includes 10 sessions of discussions on books that matter and an evening of music.
The theme, Humanity Across Borders, resonates with what is happening in our world today. Our outlook, as always, is positive and solution-oriented -- we carry forward the legacy and ideals of Khushwant Singh, the author, scholar, journalist and iconoclast, by discussing the values he stood for, and addressing his concerns. London is where he worked and studied and it helped shape many of his passions. Some of these are: closer ties between India and Pakistan; caring for our heritage and our fragile planet; equal opportunities for women; and disseminating the values of democracy, tolerance and compassion in a world that is increasingly polarised.
Come, let's take our humanity across borders, over words, over conversations, and over books.
Do block Saturday, May 31, for London and Tuesday, June 3, for Oxford. Please register only if you're attending in person - we are unable to offer the programme virtually.
We will soon update you on our lineup of speakers and performers, and the schedule.
