Shane Knox founded Not A Statistic Northeast CIC to address mental health support gaps in the North East, particularly for those facing NHS waiting lists. Leveraging his personal experience, he established peer-led support groups that offer a safe space for individuals aged 16+, aiming to combat isolation and prevent suicide.

His dedication extends beyond his organization, as he actively engages in networking, social innovation, and veteran support, fostering partnerships and advocating for grassroots mental health initiatives to drive positive community change.

Your host is Caroline Hagan a Digital Consultant, supporting small businesses and charities, across the UK. Over 20 years experience in Web Technologies, certified with Google and Meta, providing a range of free and affordable resources, so you can get kraken' and boost your business online.

This event is run as a non-profit, all proceeds go towards covering the Venue fee's and Refreshment costs. Our event is dedicated to promoting and supporting local small businesses, and we believe in the power of community!

Get Kraken aims to reduce the digital divide in the region, by delivering digital skills in the form of webinars, workshops and 1-2-1 support. We are a local Databank, providing free access to the Internet for those in income-deprived areas.

We love to support local business and reduce the loneliness that often can be a part of working for yourself or as a startup.
