About this event

LADA welcomes visitors into the Garrett Centre on a flexible schedule to spend time looking through our expansive collection of Live Art and related publications, performances, videos, art and ephemera.

---

The Study Room is open to visitors 3 days a week. The schedule alternates through Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The space is not open to the public on Wednesdays.

All sessions must be booked in advance.

Sessions are usually 3 hours: 11am-2pm, or 2pm-5pm (except on Mondays, when the earlier session is 12pm-2pm). You are welcome to book in for both sessions in a day.

We ask you to be mindful of others who may wish to use the space and only book sessions that you are certain to attend.

If you wish to visit the LADA space but are only able to come on a day not currently listed as available, please email info@thisisliveart.co.uk to discuss possible alternatives. Please email the same address if you have any other questions or concerns.

More info around visiting (public transport, access, etc.) can be found here.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a Covid-19 policy in place?

Mindful of the ongoing impact of Covid-19, we continue to implement measures to ensure that our staff, visitors and building users remain safe and that we protect those who are disproportionately affected or at higher risk. Masks and hand sanitizer are available on site.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

LADA is wheelchair accessible by lift and provides a step-free accessible toilet.

What is the Garrett Centre?

LADA is housed at the Garrett Centre, a former Unitarian mission. The space hosts the desks of LADA’s staff as well as LADA’s collection of research materials, which include books, DVDs, videotapes, magazines, journals and digital files.

What are the facilities available at LADA?

We have gender-inclusive bathrooms on the first floor, a step-free accessible toilet on the ground floor, and a lift for wheelchair users. All visitors are welcome to make use of our kettle, microwave, cutlery and crockery.
