About this event
Join us on 21st May 2025 for Legal Action Group’s Beyond Borders: Advancing Justice for Migrants conference, sponsored by Doughty Street Chambers and Garden Court Chambers Community Care Law Team. Our annual migrant law event is essential for solicitors, barristers, advice organisations, charities, law centres, and anyone involved in migrant law and advocacy. The day will leave you motivated, informed and equipped with the latest insights and strategies in migrant law.
Beyond Borders will be a day of essential, inspiring and diverse discussions from leading migrant law practitioners, campaigners and academics. Our expert speakers will share tips on challenging Home Office policies and decisions, explain new policies threatening pathways to citizenship, and address the unique needs of children and vulnerable adults. We will explore current issues in discrimination and exploitation, and developments in the digital hostile environment.
Beyond Borders offers you the chance to stay informed, learn practical tips and come together with others dedicated to upholding the rights of migrants.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to purchase the Migrant Support Handbook at an exclusive discount with their ticket. Written by Shu Shin Luh and Connor Johnston along with other legal experts in the field, Migrant Support Handbook focuses exclusively on the welfare and legal rights of migrants.
