About this event

The training is for staff working with children and young people. It has been designed to provide staff with the knowledge to support their Designated Safeguarding Lead in ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Training Objectives

Recognise and address the unique challenges faced by staff working with the LGBTQ+ community within the context of safeguarding children and young people.

To share your knowledge and experience of your role when working with LGBTQ+ children and young people by examining your unique perspectives and the challenges you face in order to help make your practice more intersectional.

To be more confident that you have the knowledge, sensitivity, and tools needed to support your Designatied Safegurading Lead (DSL) to serve everyone more equitably within the safeguarding framework.
