Line End
'Line end' is something that all poets grapple with. Particularly with free verse, or verse that isn't metrically formal, choosing where to break the line becomes fundamental to creating the shape, tempo and structure of a poem. Here we will dive deep into the questions surrounding the choices poets make, and how this can inform our own writing.
This is a 4 week correspondence course, and you can take part from anywhere in the world. You don't need to be available at any particularl time in the week. Each week you receive a tutorial via email (illustrated with videos and audio recordings). There will be tasks to complete and to share with the group and the Live Canon team and a final writing task, which you can send to the course tutor for written feedback.
The cost is 70 pounds (50 pounds for students and the unwaged). That includes 4 tutorials, and detailed written feedback each week on your work.
Live Canon courses are taught by our director, Dr Helen Eastman.
