About this event

Join Natasha Zielazinski and Rabiya McKeverne as they explore models for deep listening and attention within your coaching practice. We’ll look at Mindfulness-based and embodied approaches to listening as well as techniques which support better listening, drawing on the work of David Grove and Clean Language approaches to coaching.

You’ll explore how your own attention and awareness of your body, senses, thoughts and feelings impact your coaching practice. There’ll be a chance to examine the ways in which you pay attention to the language of your clients, and to examine the models, assumptions and inferences you make as you listen. We’ll be exploring these practically, examining the impact of these two approaches on how we understand, reflect, question and summarise within sessions. Both of these approaches will support you to work with clients so that they feel heard and respected, and in a way which supports the building of trust, connection and rapport.

This session is for you if you’re a coach in training, or a coach wanting to learn more about listening and how to do it well.

It will be co-led by coach and mentor Natasha Zielazinski who has worked in the arts, business and charity sectors. She is Guildhall Ignite’s EMCC Programme Lead, where she oversees the continued development of coach training programmes. Natasha has an ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching, is a Senior Practitioner with the EMCC, and is experienced in Systems Thinking approaches, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Clean Language and trauma-informed coaching.

It will also be co-led by Rabiya Mckeverne, a qualified ICF coach and has an MA in Applied Coaching and a MSc in Health Psychology. She is also trauma-sensitive mindfulness teacher and delivers courses in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and radical self-care (RADSEC), a course originally designed by Rainbow MIND to support the mental health needs of LGBTQ+ individuals. She has a varied coaching toolbox from NLP to mBIT (multiple brain integration techniques), with experience and knowledge rooted in neuroscience and evidence-based behaviour change.
