We are excited to share our new UK-based network LENS (Lived Experience Network for Scholars) that aims to provide a supportive space for academics in the UK with lived experience of mental health and/or addictions.
This is the first online network meeting and will involve:
- Introduction to the network
- Short presentations from organisers Dr Ruth Naughton-Doe and Dr Ruth Knight
- A session delivered by the McPin Foundation on managing your lived experience identity and disclosure
- An 'Open Space' to ask questions and decide on topics for future meetings
This network has been funded by the NIHR Mental Health Research Incubator Grow Programme for researcher development.
We are funded to run three online events and one in person event in September.
We will send zoom invitations nearer the time.
