Join us at our North Kensington Centre and learn the fundamentals of artistic glass making - cutting, fusing, foiling - or try an introduction to our jewellery course at our newly refurbished building.

By linking art and practical skills, people can make a living doing what they love. But it’s also about the people you meet along your journey. Come and join us for London Craft Week 2025 and find your calling.

Read on below for a list of all the workshops we will running. Click the 'book now' button to the left of the screen the workshop of your choice to book to purchase your place. All workshops are £30.00 per person.

Workshops

Tuesday 13 May: Ceramics

18:00 - 21:00 Handbuilding for all - Ceramics Taster with Yuki Nakamura Join us at the Morley College Ceramic Studio and make your own creation in clay. Whether you want to make something fun and functional like a mug or bowl, or let your imagination run free and create a purely decorative piece to brighten up your space, you'll be guided through each step of the process by Yuki Nakamura, an experienced professional ceramic artist. Not to worry if this is your first time working with clay, as you'll have all the help and support you need to finish the class with a beautiful handmade piece of pottery you can be proud of. Your design will then go through the firing process and be ready for you to collect in about a month's time.

Wednesday 14 May: Jewellery

10:00 - 13:00 'Strike a Mark! Patterns and Textures for Jewellery using Punches and Hammers with Jenny Macdonald 'Strike a Mark! - Patterns and textures for jewellery using punches and hammers.These taster workshops will introduce you to the jewellery studio and the fundamentals of metal. Try out a range of specialist tools including punches and hammers and create personalised motifs, write your name or short messages onto metal. A fun session suitable for anyone with a curiosity for jewellery or wishing to find out more about our courses.

14:00 - 17:00 'Strike a Mark! Thursday 15 May: Coppersmithing

18:00 - 21:00 Introduction to Coppersmithing with Adaesi Ukairo Come and try your hand at hammering out a beautiful small bowl out of copper sheet. Learn how to stretch and manipulate the metal in this three hour taster workshop. A fun session suitable for anyone with a curiosity for metal work or wishing to find out more about our creative courses at North Kensington Centre.

Saturday 17 May: Jewellery

Saturday 17 May: Glass

14:30 - 17:00 Glass Fusing Taster with Anna Chrysopoulo Come and enjoy a Fusing Taster session, perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to try their hand working with glass! Explore glass as a raw material in its varying forms including sheet and frit; learn the fundamentals of glass cutting and simple assembly to create small-scale fused glass pieces. This taster provides a unique opportunity to experiment with a range of specialist materials and is the perfect introduction to the art of Fusing Glass. We encourage you to come along and have a go!

Saturday 17 May: Ceramics

13:00 - 16:00 Making with Clay with Barbara Gorton Join us at The Morley College Ceramic Studio and make your own creation in clay. Enjoy three hours of playful experimentation, Your piece will go through the firing process and be ready for you to collect in about a month's time.
