12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Procession through the Village


Local schools, organizations and community groups will travel through the village centre making their way from Brookfield Road to the May Queen Field.

1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Crowning of the Queens


The Lymm May Queen and Rose Queen, along with their retinue, will travel around the arena to wave to everyone before taking their place on stage to be officially crowned.

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Entertainment in the Main Arena

4:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Tug-O-War


Come watch as local groups test their strength and skill in the traditional Tug-O-War

5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Dance and Play


The fun doesn’t end at 5pm!! Come dance and enjoy a drink with our live band while the kids run wild with the fair rides.

Lymm May Queen Festival

The Lymm May Queen Festival is a beloved tradition in our community, celebrating the arrival of spring and the crowning of the May Queen. Enjoy live music, delicious food stalls, traditional Maypole dancing, and much more. It's a perfect event for families, friends, and anyone looking to have a great time outdoors. Frequently asked questions

Is there parking?

Crouchley Lane by Lymm Dam. The following car parks are located in the village centre but road closures will be in place for the duration of the procession and access is limited between 11:30-1:30: Pepper Street, Davies Way & Henry Street. Please see event website for more information.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times but please remember that the event will have loud noises, large vehicles, animals big and small on display, music and crowds that may affect your dogs comfort level.

Is the event accessible for prams and/or wheelchairs?

The procession through the village will be on a hard surface and free to view for all. The main event takes place on a grassy field that may or may not be easily transversed on wheels due to weather leading up to the event.

Will there be food/drink available that meets my dietary needs?

There will be a wide range of food and drink on offer with vegan and gluten free options available depending on the vendor. Please be sure to enquire as each food/drink stall is independently owned and operated.

Will there be music?

Through out the day there will be music playing and a live band from 5-8pm.
