About Mental Health First Aid.

● It is an internationally recognised training endorsed by Mental Health First Aid

England and the Royal Society for Public Health---over half a million in the UK, and 4

million globally are trained as Mental Health First Aiders

● The training equips you with the skills to recognise poor mental health, and self-care,

and give initial support before professional help arrives.

● You will receive a workbook and the training manual for you to keep.

● Mental Health First Aid won’t teach you to be a therapist but to effectively listen,

reassure, and respond even in a crisis.

The 4 Sessions

To qualify as a Mental Health First Aider, you must attend 4 sessions spread over 2 days.

Upon completion, you'll receive 3 years of access to the Mental Health First Aid App, a

monthly newsletter, and any free training on offer. After three years, you can renew your

qualification by completing a 3.5-hour refresher course.

About the trainer

Cecily has over 25 years of experience in health social care with local authorities,

NHS and the private sector. She has extensive experience working with the communities on

health and wellbeing initiatives, earning her numerous awards over the years. Part of Cecily’s

self-care is writing and as such, she is a self-published author of 13 books.

Licenced by Mental Health First Aid England, Cecily has been a Mental Health First Aid

Instructor both for adult and youth services for over 5 years, and a Suicide First Aid Tutor for the last 3 years. She also holds a level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid from the Royal

Society for Public Health (RSPH). She has extensively delivered these trainings in the

communities including the communities of faith.
