Do I need an expensive camera or be a photographer?

No, all you need is something to take a photograph on like a smartphone or camera. Mindful Photography is not about skill or equipment. It is about taking photos without judgement. We are a friendly group and cannot wait to welcome you.

What happens after the session is finished?

You will be invited into an online community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. We will also tell you about our project with Forensic Response UK and you may like to submit your seasonal image to our project website.

Is this like therapy?

We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.

Will you be using my images?

We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own. If you decide to upload your image to Mindful Photography UK or Carers Plus Yorkshire it will be your choice with no pressure at all to do so.
