Frequently asked questions
We use Eventbrite as a 'pre-booking' system so that people can register their interest. You should receive an application form as an email response for signing up.
Places are offered on a first come first served basis. The £10 charge ensures you have a place on the Summer School. We often have around 70-80 students at our Summer School.
Our Summer School is open to anyone with an interest in Ancient History, Classics or Philosophy. As such we do not require you to currently take these topics at A-level, or GCSE (or your equivalent). As long as you are interested you are welcome to come!
Our classes are designed to be as accessible as possible and their content varies widely. Many of them are designed to be introductions to allow people to experience new aspects of Ancient History and Classics.
Every night we put on several different activities for students including acting in and the production of an ancient comedy and tragedy, ancient arts and crafts and mythology sessions to name a few.
