Is the venue wheelchair / pushchair / mobility scooter accessible ?

Yes all areas of the National Oceanography Centre are accessible

Will I be able to purchase refreshments and lunch at the NOC World Ocean Open Day?

Yes the NOC has a cafe area with amazing views out over the port of Southampton, you may be lucky to see a cruise ship in the port.

How can I travel to NOC - Car, Cycle or Bus?

The Unilink bus service drops off at NOC the buses have NOCS or National Oceanography Centre on them. The NOC has a large car parking facility which is offered on a first come first served basis, we also have lots of bicycle spaces and racks.

Can I ride my E scooter to the NOC World Ocean Open Day?

Unfortunately E Scooters are not allowed within the Port of Southampton. This is for safety reasons as the port is very busy with lots of vehicles moving around.

Can I walk to the NOC World Ocean Open Day?

Yes you can. Enter the Port at Dock Gate 4 - please make sure you have your tickets with you and follow the instructions on your confirmation email

A member of my group has autism and / or special educational needs, is this event suitable for them

Yes, we would advise selecting our quieter session (16:15 - 17:15) this is designed to provide a quieter calmer environment

I will be bringing a baby with me, does NOC have baby changing facilities?

Yes we have various baby changing facilities. These are located in the accessible toilets which are gender neutral with ample space and nappy bins

Can I fill up my reusable water bottle at NOC?

Yes, please bring your reusable bottle! We have a number of refill stations around the building.
