Nature Calling - Explore this new game trail

Come and experience this new game trail with the artists David Blandy and Daniel Locke. As we wander around the beautiful nature reserve, Hutchinson's Bank, we will take part in playing the game along the way, using our imagination as it is inspired by the natural world.

See you there!

Information:

This is a free event but booking is essential as places are limited.

Where to meet: Please meet us outside Fisher’s Farm Recycling Centre, North Downs Road, CR0 0LB at 10.15am. Please be on time as we will be walking together.

The route: Please note this event is not suitable for wheelchair users or buggies as the terrain is steep and bumpy with steps.

What to wear and bring: This event will take place in all weathers unless there is a storm. Please wear suitable footwear (closed-toe shoes) and clothing for the conditions on the day. We strongly recommend that you wear long sleeved clothing and cover legs due to the risk of brambles or tick bites. If sunny, it is also recommended that you wear a hat and sunscreen. Please also bring any medication you require such as asthma inhalers or epi pens.

Please be aware there are no toilets on site: Please head to a cafe on the high street beforehand.

This project is part of a national arts programme, Nature Calling, connecting and deepening engagement with the landscape. The aim is to listen to our communities and ensure our landscapes are a place for everyone. Artists David Blandy & Daniel Locke have been working with local schools and community groups, to inspire their project Dawn After Night, Spring After Winter. This has resulted in an evocative game publication of local mythologies and the natural world that will take players through two different interactive nature trails at Hutchinson’s Bank in New Addington, and Box Hill.
