About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

This workshop will take place at Aqueduct Cottage and Lea Woods where you will learn about photography in nature.

The course will be targeted at beginners.

The course will be hosted by Alex Wilkinson. Alex runs a very successful Media Agency and has a passion for wildlife photography, with his degree in Environmental Science and a Masters in Biological Photography and Imaging.

We will meet at High Peak Junction car park at 8.30am, What3Words ///notices.draw.segmented, and then Alex will lead us to Aqueduct Cottage and on through Lea Woods, helping us learn and understand how to get the best images from this beautiful landscape.

Refreshments will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own.

What you will need:

  • Money for the car park - 4 hours parking is £4.50
  • A camera, lens and memory card! Please note this is not a course for the use of a mobile phone/iPhone camera
  • Outdoor walking gear and waterproofs

Points to note:

  • The terrain in the woods is not suitable for anyone who may struggle with steps and uneven ground.
  • There are no toilet facilities at Aqueduct Cottage, the nearest facilities are at High Peak Junction Visitor Centre, which is a 10 minute/0.5 mile walk from the Cottage.
