Course Description

Enrol on Free NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care

You will get a good introduction to a variety of topics fundamental to working in adult social care. The course focuses on your professional knowledge and your language skills to help you find work in the rewarding Health and Social Care sector.

CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is perfect for anyone considering a career in adult social care who wants to build their knowledge and understanding of the concepts in the sector.

During your course, you will expand your knowledge of the key legislation and codes of practice in relation to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the sector, how you can take a person-centred approach to care, and the health and safety considerations when working in the sector. You will also learn more about the principles of safeguarding and protecting those in your care and how you can implement duty of care in a social care setting.

All applicants must be at least 19 years or over and be Hackney residents.

The course requires completion of Level 2 in Functional English & Maths or any exceeding qualification.

Progression routes:

This qualification can support you into employment across the adult social care sector, in a supervised capacity. The vocational knowledge gained by studying this qualification will give you an insight into the duties of an employee working at level 3 in the adult social care sector. Employment opportunities within the sector could include:

  • A care worker in a residential home
  • Community care
  • Hospices
  • Voluntary organisations.
