About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

If you’ve never tried life drawing online before, this themed session is great place to start. You’ll be drawing from a model posing live over zoom alongside sketchers of all abilities, from around the world. The unclothed model will hold five 1-minute poses, five 3-minute poses, two 10-minute poses and a final 30-minute pose.

The session is untutored with a session leader on hand to offer help and we’ll have a different model posing virtually each week – if you’d like some pointers on getting started, take a look at this video HERE.

Each week we'll be following a different theme to inspire our model’s props and poses. This week Hannah Jay will be riffing off of Degas pastel “In Front of the Mirror”, to create a series of mirror and dressing-room oriented poses. The session will be led by Draw Head Tutor Jake Spicer - Jake is an experienced teacher and author with a passion for teaching people how to draw. His recent book ‘Figure Drawing’ is available for purchase HERE.
