About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

This session will be hosted by Wakefield based storyteller Beccy Dye, with perspectives shared by Christine McMahon and Liz Weir, exploring the ethics of re-telling a tale you’ve heard, and how we ethically work with older adults to re-tell the stories they remember. gathering story fragments, where folktales have largely gone from memory. How do storytellers create stories from fragments in ways which are ethically sound? What examples of best practice are out there? Do we need a code of ethics? Does one already exist?

Come along and join in this friendly conversation, whether you have experience to share or just want to find out more.
