About this event

Join our partner organisation Severn Trent's River Ranger Luke, and the Sherbourne team to learn all about how to monitor and survey outfalls on the Sherbourne at Guphill Brook. This work is vital to the restoration of the river Sherbourne as rapid reporting of issues is essential to support the wildlife in and around the river.

Luke from Severn Trent will train you on how to survey and why, health and safety protocols and 'what to spot'. He will train you how to use a Smartphone App to report issues with outlets into the river.

We'll start the walk from the bridge on Buckingham Rise.

Know before you book: Please note this event is for volunteers and those interested in volunteering to support the Sherbourne Valley Project by undertaking outfall safaris and reporting issues. Our funding from NLHF allows us to be able to offer this training for no charge.

Please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather - warm and waterproof, with sturdy footwear as although we are mostly on paths there may be ice and we also use the parkland to walk on

This event is planned by Education & Training Officer Jen Tabb. For any enquiries, contact her via jennifer.tabb@wkwt.org.uk or call 07471 033555 if you have any questions.

Note:
