Personal Safety Awareness training by IKON

Join us at Bar Twenty One for a hands-on Personal Safety Awareness training session by IKON!

This training will improve your self-awareness and confidence as someone who can find themself in potentially vulnerable situations due to the nature of your role working in a night time economy business. The training focusses heavily on personal safety and covers communication skills, de-escalation strategies, risk assessment practices, positive body language, stance and positioning when dealing with problem individuals.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify personal safety risks
  • Demonstrate positive communication and de-escalation strategies
  • Identify relevant legislation, policies and procedures to help you
  • Demonstrate effective distance, stance and positioning when managing a situation.

This course has been funded by Ipswich Borough Council thanks to Safer Streets funding, administered by Ipswich Central for Ipswich Barwatch members, and, delivered by IKON Training.
