Welcome to Planning For Your Organisation's Future!

Producing a plan for your organisation’s sustainability can seem daunting. This training session aims to demystify and give guidance on the planning process, so you can create a document that works for your needs.

The session will cover:

  • The benefits of having a plan for your organisation.
  • The process of planning.
  • What to include in your plan.
  • Making your plan a living document not a one-off.

Here is what participants from previous sessions told us about this course:

  • "Brilliant event - very informative and accessible."
  • "Really helpful and succinct session on Business Plan writing - have had various sessions over the years but this was so user-friendly."
  • "Business Plan structure: weight of importance given to sections, and discussion that allowed an understanding of how to apply business plan to our charity specifically."
  • "What worked well is what should go into the financial information section, and the promise of a forecast budget template with suggestions for what % rises should go onto e.g. salaries, utilities."

The trainer will be Sarah Thomas. Sarah has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years, most of this providing one-to-one support, training and events to help VCSE organisations to develop effectively. She is Stronger Kent Communities’ Development Officer, as well as being a freelance consultant.

** ** Please note that this event is specifically aimed at local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations in Kent.
